CLINT BODUNGEN
Arcova
Director, AI/ML Engineering
Clint Bodungen is a veteran cybersecurity innovator, AI engineer, and published author with 30+ years of experience spanning OT/ICS cybersecurity, red teaming, AI/ML engineering, and game development. Recognized globally for pioneering practical, creative approaches to cybersecurity education, he has spent the last decade at the forefront of integrating gamification and AI (generative AI and autonomous agents, more recently) into cybersecurity and training.
He is the author of two best-selling books — Hacking Exposed: Industrial Control Systems and ChatGPT for Cybersecurity Cookbook — and a United States Air Force veteran who has held key roles at Symantec, Booz Allen Hamilton, Kaspersky Lab, and now serves as Director of AI/ML Engineering at Arcova and Founder/Head of Product Innovation at ThreatGEN.
Clint is best known for creating:
• ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue, the world’s first online multiplayer cybersecurity simulation game.
• AutoTableTop, an AI-driven incident response platform that uses autonomous agents and generative AI to build and run IR tabletop exercises.
• AI-driven cyber training
• Production-ready autonomous analysis tools, agentic systems, and AI workflows
Today, his work centers on agentic coding, autonomous AI systems, and the next generation of cybersecurity tools — digital workers that can plan, build, analyze, and simulate complex environments automatically. His mission is to help transform and modernize the cybersecurity industry through intelligent automation, gamification, and advanced AI architectures.
At the intersection of cybersecurity, AI engineering, and game design, Clint continues to push boundaries — creating systems that don’t just support humans, but collaborate, learn, and build alongside them. He is also the Founder, Chairman, & Head of Product Innovation of ThreatGEN.
