Summary:
The UNECE R155 standard mandates that automotive manufacturers implement a Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) to manage and mitigate cybersecurity risks throughout the vehicle lifecycle. The regulation covers various aspects, including risk assessment, threat detection, and response measures. UNECE R155 was enforced starting July 2022 for new vehicle types and will be mandatory for all new vehicles from July 2024.
